Downloadhelper : The most cool one that I use is the Downloadhelper addon for firefox. To use this software you have to download and install the firefox browser. Firefox is is a great browser, so you should use firefox if do not already have it. You can download firefox for free from Firefox download. Now , you have to add the downloadhelper addon to firefox. Install Downloadhelper and restart firefox. Now go to youtube.com and open the video that you want to download. When the video starts playing, right click on the page(not on the video) and you will see the Downloadheper menu in the popup menu.

Download using online websites : There are many web sites which let you download youtube videos using them. All you have to do is to copy the youtube video url from the address bar, go to the web site and paste the url into them. The website will download the video for you and give you the download link.

These websites can download the videos in different formats like 3gp, flv and mp4 format. You can download KMPlayer or VLC Media Player to play these files.
